My language

The way that I speak is different from how other people speak. I have developed this way of speaking as the time goes by. I guess you can compare me to a sponge as time goes by I absorb a way of speaking by words that I have learned. Also a big influence in how I speak is my past experience with classmates from school. And also from the environment I live in and the music I listen to. But what makes my way I speak different from others is that I speak a certain way to my friend. And I speak a certain way with my adults. To my friends I speak with a lot of slang terminology and in a very relaxed way. To adults I speak more proper and I do not use any slang. But what makes the way I speak even more different is that I also use another language. I speak Spanish to my parents and family members. And with my cozens and some of my friends we speak what is now known as “spanglish” wich is a combination of English and Spanish. I believe that in the end it depends on how a person is raised and the environment he/she grew up in, to determine how he/she speaks.

  1. Great post, I agree with you we are all like sponges and soak up what we hear. I speak differently to my peers than how I would speak to a teacher. That's cool that you know a different language. Do you ever slip up and just start speaking Spanish to your peers??
