The skill that I anticipate that I will use first is my professionalism and public speaking skills when I meet my fellow colleges. A question that comes to mind as I approach internship is what the work environment will be like and what the dress code is going to be like. I wish to work in a calm and a friendly work environment. Hopefully I work for a patient and cool manager who can help me further myself in my career. A hard skill I hope to improve on is imaging computers, and a soft skill that I hope to improve on is my small talk. I have many anxieties about my internship; one is if I’m ready to go to my internship. The way I plan to stand out during my internship is to do my best and take as much opportunities as I can, and network with my colleges so I can have good references. I don’t have a concrete plan of what I want to do after internship, but I would like to get employed at the place I interned at. If I don’t get employed there I would use the experience that I gained at my internship and use that to find a job that is similar to what I did at my internship.

Road trip
For the last days of the long break, I went to Napa to visit some friends. It was a long and exhausting trip but we finally made it, and I saw some old friends that I had not seen in a while. We stayed over and my friends and I did an all nighter and played Fifa 12, and marvel vs. capcom, and need for speed all night. Unfortunately, we had to come back home; but I had a lot of fun and I hope I can go back soon.

Soccer Mania
During the break, on Wednesday, my family and I had a carne asada at the park with some friends. we had a big and a delicious meal and my family had a few fun activities to play such as charades, and telling jokes. afterwards my friends and family members and I got ready to play a big game of soccer which lasted all day. I had not played like that in a long time and I had a lot of fun.

Family fun
For the long break, my family and I just came together and had a big dinner. we invited friends and family who came from far away and had a fun family night. We played board games and had a good family and friend reunion. My friends, my cousins and I had a big Fifa tournament; which I almost won. Overall it was a great family night.

Readiness Blog
Some qualities of someone who is internship ready are being responsible, accountable, reliable, mature, and ready for anything you may encounter. During module 3 I plan to show internship readiness by trying to participate more in class, and being more of a team player. Also by being prepared like having my material and focusing on what’s going on in class. I will make some changes in my organizational methods, and I’ll try to be more energetic in class.

Work experience
1. 1.What is the best and the worst job (paid or volunteer) that you have ever had?
- What were some of your primary responsibilities?
- What made the job enjoyable or not?
- What skills did you develop that will serve you well in internship?
- What lessons did you learn about the workplace and yourself?
The worst job I have ever had was being a gardener; my responsibilities were to take care of the equipment and mow the lawn. It was not a fun job I had to wake up early and work in the hot sun. Some skills that I picked up from this job that could help me in my internship are doing what I am told and do it right the first time so I don’t have to redo it again. I learn that work is hard and that sometimes a work place is unfair, I learned that I needed to work hard and be responsible to be a good employee.
The best job I have ever had as working at a bakery, my responsibilities were to make bread and to clean up my working area. What made this job enjoyable was that while my coworkers and I were working we would have fun. We would make jokes and enjoy each other’s company. The skills I gained at this job are that I need to be accountable for my work and work hard to earn my pay check. What I learned about myself is that I needed to mature and grow up.

CENSURED
The current event I choose to write about was the new bill congress is trying to pass that will allow the government to censure the internet; the bill is called PROTECT IP. What the bill will do is allow big businesses to sue any social media site if they think they are not filtering there sites correctly and for having their content on their web site. Examples of social media web sites that will be affected by this is face book, you tube, tumbler and many more. What this bill will also do is it will cripple any new social media or web site from growing and thus cutting opportunity for new business and jobs. Another thing this bill would affect is are freedom of speech threw social media for example you tubers that have there shows and talk about that news and give their opinion will be censured and taken of the Internet. Something else this bill does is let the government tinker whit the nets registry, if the government messes with the registry of the Internet it could make it less stable and also less reliable and unsafe. Overall this new bill will ruin the Internet not just here in the US but all over the world. I think this new bill trying to be passed by congress is useless and it will not stop piracy, because even if the Internet is censured all you have to do to enter a blocked site is enter its IP address and you will be able to find that site. Hopefully the government and congress see that this bill isn’t a good idea and will pull back from passing the bill. For a better understanding of the bill PROTECT IP follow this link (http://bit.ly/vHVSje)
