The current event I choose to write about was the new bill congress is trying to pass that will allow the government to censure the internet; the bill is called PROTECT IP. What the bill will do is allow big businesses to sue any social media site if they think they are not filtering there sites correctly and for having their content on their web site. Examples of social media web sites that will be affected by this is face book, you tube, tumbler and many more. What this bill will also do is it will cripple any new social media or web site from growing and thus cutting opportunity for new business and jobs. Another thing this bill would affect is are freedom of speech threw social media for example you tubers that have there shows and talk about that news and give their opinion will be censured and taken of the Internet. Something else this bill does is let the government tinker whit the nets registry, if the government messes with the registry of the Internet it could make it less stable and also less reliable and unsafe. Overall this new bill will ruin the Internet not just here in the US but all over the world. I think this new bill trying to be passed by congress is useless and it will not stop piracy, because even if the Internet is censured all you have to do to enter a blocked site is enter its IP address and you will be able to find that site. Hopefully the government and congress see that this bill isn’t a good idea and will pull back from passing the bill. pre-write
It all started when I graduated from high school and my friend the principle of adult school in San Mateo talk to me about a program called Year Up. He told me it was a great opportunity and he thought it would be a great place for me. And that how I met my advisory Trevor Hooper who talked to me about the Year Up program and how great of an opportunity it was. And that’s how I joined the community in Year Up. This community is like no other it a very close community and a very caring community. When I first entered this community it only took a week to feel like every one really knew each other, and now it feels like we are all family.
